Annie Margarita Fine Art

" "I am often asked how long I have been an artist. My reply is "All my Life". I've always loved to draw, but the painting started in high school. I was a natural, and immediately started selling artwork to neighbors and friends.

It wasn't until I was 27 years old that I decided to be an Artist full-time. I traditionally painted landscapes and wildlife, but with the mural business, I've had to constantly stretch my limits in style and genre. My clients are always amazed that I have such a huge scope of work, I'll try any style. Although this might not necessarily be good to be recognized as having a particular style, I always enjoy doing different things.

The last few years I've been getting more and more commissions for fine art. I enjoy painting portraits as well as my traditional landcapes, and actually love to play with abstract. Someday I may settle down and limit myself to gain more "style" recognition, but I'm not done with experimenting!

Although already working as a professional artist mostly being self-taught, I was schooled for Basic Drawing and Design at the University of Arizona. Later I had painting classes from Robert Bateman, Richard Iams and Joanne Yager. Pima Community college has trained me in Composition, Design, Figure and Perspective Drawing, Painting, Art History, and Color Theory. While attending The Art Center Design School I learned Computer Graphics, Drawing, Advertising Layout, Art History and Composition. I've earned my Certification in Interior Design at Tucson Design College, where I studied Color, Art History and Interior Design.
